Indonesia hotels – a brief account


Indonesia, world’s largest archipelagic state is a Southeast Asian country sharing borders with countries like Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Malaysia. Singapore, the Philippines, Australia, and the Indian territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are other neighboring countries of this island nation. This beautiful country is linked with the outside world via two main international airports namely Soekarno-Hatta (CGK) at Tangerang, Banten, near Jakarta, and Ngurah Rai (DPS) at Denpasar, Bali.

Most other cities of Indonesia have domestic airports that provide air links to the major cities. Boat or ferries also connect Indonesia with Singapore and Malaysia. Besides, the road service and trains are good enough and can be used for transportation purpose between states. The best time to visit this country is in the dry season between May and October. Though, most of the tourists are seen during the holiday period between December-January and July-August, which are also good period. In fact, leaving aside the climatic obstacle, Indonesia can be visited any time of the year. With increasing rise in tourism in the country, there has been an instant rise in the number of hotels in Indonesia that provide accommodation to its guests across borders.

Jakarta, Bandung, Manado, Medan, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta are some of the big cities in Indonesia. Bali, Java, Lombok, Sumatra, Solo, Semarang and Tana Toraja are a few of the popular tourist destinations of the country, besides the capital city of Jakarta. This beautiful nation is composed of seventeen thousand islands that stretch over five thousand miles along the equator. Indonesia is ranked as the fourth most populated state in the world. As a democratic republic, Indonesia is divided into 32 provinces and geographically classified into four groups.

For accommodation, there are various hotels, lodges and guesthouses where the guests can choose to stay. All the important cities including the capital city Jakarta has many good hotels to accommodate the guests in Indonesia. These include luxurious five-star and four-star hotels, boutique and business hotels as well as budget and cheap hotels. Overall, there is every kind of accommodation available for all pockets and travelers with any budget. Most of the reputed chain of hotels in Indonesia has their branches in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta, Bali, Java, Lombok and so on.
